You will visit the Notorious Tuol Sleng Museum. In 1975, Tuol Svay Prey High School was taken over by Pol Pot's security forces and became the infamous S-21 prison. S-21 became the largest detention centre and torture facility in the country where more than 17.000 people were held prior to being executed. Some detainees who died during torture were buried in mass graves in the prison grounds. Covering the walls of the museum from floor to ceiling are photographs of men, women and children and unfortunately, virtually all the people pictured were killed by the security forces.

Day 1: Phnom Penh – Arrival (B)

Arrival to Phomphenh the driver will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Phom Penh

Day 2: Killing Fields - Tuol Sleng Museum - Russian Markets (B/L)

0800h: Your guide will meet you at your hotel and you will drive approx 15 km south to the killing fields of Choeung Ek. In the short period between 1975 & 1978 approximately 17.000 men, women and children were detained and tortured at the notorious S-21 prison and transported to the extermination camp of Choeung Ek. Prisoners were often bludgeoned to death to avoid the cost of bullets and fragments of human bone are scattered around the area. Over 8000 skulls arranged by sex and age, are visible behind the clear glass panels of the Memorial which was built in 1988.

Next is a vist to the Russian Market which is one of the premier shopping destinations in the Cambodian capital. Known as Psar Tuol Tom Pong, it earned its nickname in the 1980s, when Russians were the only tourists in Cambodia. You will find a wide range of goods on sale and is a great place to shop for your souvenirs

1700h: Return to your hotel and overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 3: Phnom Penh – Kampot – Kep (B/L)

0700h: Take a morning drive south through the picturesque country side to visit the lovely riverside town of Kampot. Renowned for growing fresh fruits and world class pepper, Kampot also has some classic French period architecture on display.

Lunch at a local restaurant in Takeo town before continuing on toward the coast.

Kep is situated in a beautiful coastal area and was once the favorite holiday spot for Cambodia’s French-influenced upper class.

Arrive in Kep and check in to your hotel.

Day 4: Kep _ Rabit Island – Free day (B)

In the moring you will vistting Rabit island or free day relax (Please inform with your tour guide what you would like to do)

Day 5: Kep - Kompot Phnom Penh (B/L)

After breakfast, enjoy a local boat trip to the sandy beaches and coconut trees on Rabbit Island located approximately 4.5km away. Enjoy a picnic lunch and have free time to leisurely relax on the beach or take a walk around the island on your own. In the afternoon, return to Kep and drive back to Phnom Penh.

Overnight in Phnom Penh

Day6: Phnom Penh - Kratie (B/L)

Depart from Phnom Penh to Kratie, a small town that retains its colonial-era charm and is known as the best location to see the rare freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphins.

On the way you will make a brief stop at Skuon village which is a busy market town and is famous for it’s deep fried spiders. You will visit Wat Nokhor Bachey, with its ancient temple and modern style pagoda built in the 12th century and take a short tour of Kompong Cham to view the colonial architecture. One last stop will be at one of the rubber plantations in the region established by French tire maker Michelin.

Arrival Kratie and check in hotel. Dinner at local restaurant and accommodation at hotel

Day 7: Kratie – Kg. Cham – Siem Reap(B/L)

Take a morning excursion to Wat Roka kandal Centre, originally constructed in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, it has since been refurbished and converted to a local museum for displaying Cambodian crafts.

Next is a visit to Chhlong Village to see the charming French Colonial buildings and old Khmer houses before continuing to drive to the provincial town of Kg. Cham. On arriving there will be time to visit the unique Temple of Wat Nokor. Built in 11th century as a Mahayana Buddhist shrine, it was constructed of black sandstone and laterite. You will also pay a visit to the hilltop temples of Phnom Pros (Man Hill) and Phnom Srei (Woman Hill) and then start your return journey to Siem Reap.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 8 :Siem Reap - Angkor Wat Temple (B/L)

0730h: After breakfast your English speaking guide will meet you at your hotel and you will leave to visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor, Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians, to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks and the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world. The surrounding moat is to represent the ocean beyond.

Lunch at local restaurant and in the afternoon and visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara). Dinner is at a local restaurant where you will be entertained with a traditional Khmer folk performance of Apsara.

Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 9: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake – Elephant riding (B)

0830h: After meeting your guide at the hotel you will depart to visit the Khmer Village and enjoy the views of rice fields & palm trees while you take in the fresh air.

Next you will take a ride in a boat on Tonle Sap Lake, Known as the "Great Lake" of Cambodia and one of the largest in Asia. During the short cruise you be able to observe life on the water as you pass by floating villages complete with schools, restaurants, and hospitals.

1500h: Depart for the South Gate at Angkor Thom and climb aboard an Elephant to take for a slow ride to Bayon Temple. Built in the late 12th or early 13th century, Bayon Temple is very known, mainly due to the level of decoration which adorns the temple. The temple is also decorated with many faces carved into the stone of the towers.

1630h: Return to Siem Reap

Overnight in Siem Reap

Day10: Siem Reap – Departure

Free time until the driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport.
